Cookie Policy

Last updated: 08/07/2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things like whether you're signed in. Similar technologies (such as browser local storage) work in much the same way. This policy explains what Matchen uses and why.

We keep this deliberately simple: we only use cookies and storage that are needed to run the service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

2. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on). These keep you signed in and the service secure — for example your account login session, a session used to track your free and purchased visuals, and the admin/retailer sign-in for those areas. The site will not work properly without them, so they don't require consent.

Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the site is used (such as which pages are popular). Plausible is privacy-friendly: it is cookieless, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal data.

Payments. When you buy a visual pack, checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are essential to complete a purchase. See Stripe's own privacy and cookie notices for details.

3. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block them. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop core features from working — you won't be able to sign in or complete a purchase.

Because we don't use non-essential tracking cookies, there's no separate advertising consent to manage.

4. Changes & contact

We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. For any questions, contact us at info@matchen.co.uk. See also our Privacy Policy.
